Solar Time is designed to work without creating an account or asking for your name, address, or payment details.

1. Information handled by the site

Your browser may store local preferences such as language, country and time-zone choice, camera presets, visual options, and music state in local storage. These settings remain on your device and are used only to restore your experience. Solar Time does not receive them as a user profile.

Standard server and security logs may contain an IP address, request time, requested URL, user agent, response status, and diagnostic information. They are used to deliver the site, prevent abuse, investigate failures, and protect the service.

The optional Windows shutdown helper sends a one-time random request ID, helper version, action, numeric result code and timer deadline to confirm installation or a requested operation. It does not send account names, computer names or file contents. Operation receipts are readable for three minutes and installation receipts for ten minutes; an hourly cleanup removes stored receipts older than one hour. Standard hosting logs described above may still apply. A small local diagnostic log and request-ordering record remain after helper removal to diagnose failures and reject delayed requests.

2. Analytics

Solar Time uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, Google Analytics, and Microsoft Clarity to understand aggregate visits, device performance, feature usage, and how visitors interact with the interface. Google Analytics remains in denied-consent mode, and Microsoft Clarity is not loaded, until the applicable consent choice permits analytics storage. Clarity may provide anonymized interaction records, heatmaps, and diagnostic session data; sensitive text is masked by default. Cloudflare may process limited technical data needed to deliver pages, measure aggregate performance, and protect the site. After analytics consent, Solar Time sends fixed-name feature events to Google Analytics for actions such as starting music, selecting or tracking a celestial body, setting an alarm, a Windows-confirmed shutdown reservation or cancellation, opening help, changing the display language, and using viewing modes or event navigation. These custom events contain only fixed feature names and, where applicable, a celestial-body ID, default/custom alarm-sound choice, or automatic/manual language-selection mode. They do not include audio filenames or contents, entered timer durations or deadlines, camera coordinates, native helper request IDs, or free text. A selected display region is not reported as your physical country. Declined or pre-consent actions are not queued for later feature-event reporting. Existing Google tag consent-mode behavior, including limited cookieless signals, is described below.

분석에 동의하면 음악 재생, 천체 선택·추적, 알람 설정, Windows가 확인한 종료 예약·취소, 도움말 열기, 표시 언어 변경 등의 기능 사용을 Google Analytics 이벤트로 기록합니다. 정해진 기능명과 필요한 경우 천체 식별자·기본/사용자 알람음 구분·자동/수동 언어 선택 구분만 포함합니다. 음원 파일명·내용, 입력한 타이머 시간·종료 예정 시각, 카메라 좌표, 종료 모듈 요청 번호, 자유 입력 문구는 보내지 않습니다. 표시용으로 선택한 지역을 실제 방문 국가로 간주하지 않으며 동의 전·거부 중 사용을 나중에 소급 전송하지 않습니다. 기존 Google 태그의 제한적인 쿠키 없는 신호는 아래 설명을 따릅니다.

3. Advertising and cookies

Both acceptance and rejection are remembered in this browser for six calendar months from the choice, without extending the period on each visit. Open Cookie settings from the app's Display settings to change or withdraw your choice at any time. Closing the notice with X does not grant consent, save a new choice, or change an existing choice. With no saved choice, the notice appears again on the next page load. At expiry, optional consent is reset to denied and the notice asks again.

Older saved choices did not include a date. On the first visit after this update, a successfully migrated choice is preserved and given a one-time six-month period starting on that visit. If browser storage is unavailable, a new explicit choice can apply to the current page but may not survive a reload. These choice records are preferences, not a new user identifier.

Solar Time uses the Google Ads tag to support measurement of visits from its advertising campaigns. It shares the existing Google tag with Google Analytics and follows the site's advertising-storage, advertising-user-data, and personalization consent choices. Before consent or after rejection, these settings remain denied; Google may still receive limited cookieless signals in this mode. No enhanced-conversion user data is configured by Solar Time.

Solar Time은 광고를 통해 유입된 방문을 측정하기 위한 Google Ads 태그를 사용합니다. 기존 Google Analytics 태그를 공유하며 광고 저장·광고용 사용자 데이터·개인 맞춤 광고의 동의 선택을 따릅니다. 동의 전이나 거부 시 해당 설정은 거부 상태이며, 이 모드에서도 Google에 제한적인 쿠키 없는 신호가 전송될 수 있습니다. Solar Time은 향상된 전환용 사용자 데이터 전송을 설정하지 않습니다.

Solar Time is connected to Google AdSense. After the site is approved and advertising is enabled, Google and its partners may use cookies, device identifiers, IP addresses, and browsing information to select, limit, measure, and report ads. Depending on your region and consent choices, ads may be personalized or non-personalized. Learn how Google uses data on partner sites in Google's partner-sites notice.

Solar Time requests a cookie choice before consent-based analytics or advertising storage is enabled. Where additionally required for Google advertising in the EEA, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, a Google-certified consent platform may also be used. Browser settings may be used to block or remove cookies, although parts of the service or advertising may then work differently.

4. External services and links

Media files are delivered through Cloudflare. Optional music, source-credit, social-media, and donation links lead to third-party services. When you follow an external link, that service's privacy policy applies. Solar Time does not receive your donation or social-account credentials.

5. Data sharing and retention

Life User does not sell personal information. Technical information may be processed by hosting, analytics, security, and advertising providers only for their stated services, legal compliance, fraud prevention, or protection of rights. Retention is controlled by those providers and by operational security needs. Local preferences remain until you clear site data or use the in-app reset options.

6. Children

Solar Time is a general-audience educational visualization and is not directed specifically to children under the age required to consent to data processing in their country. We do not knowingly request personal information from children.

7. Your choices and contact

You may clear local site data in your browser, disable optional music, decline advertising consent where offered, or stop using the service.
